I know Christy saw my status on Facebook about what was going on at MTSU today, so I thought I would just give some details.

so, this morning I get an email that some people at MTSU had received a threatening email and that if I got one, I should notify them immediately. I found out later that the email said that if classes were not canceled today

glad they caught the guy. SOB. i wonder how much real intent he had or if he was just trying to get out of an exam.

all they are saying is that he acted alone (which they always say) and that he is a student, a freshman pre-professional dental hygiene major...
I hope they tell what his intentions were. apparently he is cooperating

I heard about this yesterday afternoon, heard about the arrest this morning. I also hope it was just a prank. If it was, it was a REALLY STUPID prank to pull these days. A co-worker of mine has a son just got expelled from scholl and has a court date just for taking a steak knife to school... and that's nothing compared to a bomb threat. I still can't make up my mind if I think cancellign classes was a good idea or not. As you point out, the students and faculty are still there, so what difference does no classes make, other than giving in to the demands of the threatener?
(That's a new super villain name now, you know, The Threatener. :)

I think it was good that they canceled class yesterday, but going ahead and canceling today was a little extreme I think... I can't wait to hear what this guy has to say for himself!
