We are settling into the new house nicely. We closed on the 29th of December, started repairs the following Monday, and moved in the Monday after that. The whole house thing has been a huge ordeal. Last I posted we had our offer accepted and were getting the inspection done.  The guy who did the inspection gave us this dooms day report and we thought it was going to be about twice as much for repairs as we had estimated.  We terminated our contract, had some contractors come out and look then ( Read more... )

Gray wanted this lego tow truck more than anything for Christmas. It's THE thing he wants. He just wasn't letting it go. I couldn't find it and couldn't find it, the lego website was out of it, it was sold out everywhere. I finally found it on amazon and had to pay $25 for it but I ordered it yesterday.      I am glad to say that today we successfully had the gas turned on at the new house for inspection.  I did have to sit in my car for three hours in the driveway of the house to get it, but it worked.  STILL waiting on the executed contract though it should come today or tomorrow.  When we were there the guy turned on the electricity so he coudl ( Read more... )

     Don't you love a saturday?  Still in my pajamas with a huge cup of coffee and cartoons on the TV.  Hopefully a month  or 6 weeks from now I will be sitting in my new livingroom drinking my coffee in front of my gas fireplace that is double sided into my kitchen!  I think that fireplace is my favorite thing.  I'm so excited. last week we made an offer on a house and today we found out it was accepted!! yay!!! it's just up the street from the house we are renting right now. Gray will stay in the same school which really was my only criteria. It's in a great neighborhood, we really lucked out. Our weekend went well. Saturday we hug around, took the kids to McDonalds for lunch and a play. Sunday we layed around most of the day and watched ther game. It's been a crazy couple months. The summer was spent with travel, three separate trips both by car and airplane. We spent Labor day in Houston and had a great time. We got to go to our old favorite restaurant one of the two Carrabbas still owned by the Carrabbas family. We feel very fancy ordering an appatizer that isn't on the menu but a chef ( Read more... )
