Dear Femslash Exchange Author

So, my requests...

In general, if you're comfortable writing smut, please do! But I'd be happy with PG-13/G-rated pieces too, porn isn't a requisite. I'm okay with AU's (with an exception for Night Watch), and my only real squicks are bestiality, scat, and parental incest. I like complex characters and internal conflict, happy old-married-couple bickering and first-love passion, snarkery and intelligence and women challenging people's expectations of them. And that's far from a comprehensive list.

Lost Girl: I love both Bo's and Lauren's combination of badass and dorkiness, but I especially love Tamsin. Because she's cynical and world-weary and disillusioned and old, and I really liked that scene in one the later episode, where she is so amazed and entranced by Bo. So I'd like to see something like that, with Tamsin starting out cranky and sarcastic and tired, and then showing her vulnerable/softer side? Without losing track of the fact that she is old and experienced and not that nice a person, really. And as for Bo/Lauren: happy domesticity please! I like my fluff not to be too sugary-sweet, and possibly flavored with snark. If you need an idea, I really liked Bo getting turned on by Lauren's geek speak.

Greek Mythology: I'm a mythology nerd, so huzzah! So, first off, the goddesses: I like the contrast between Aphrodite on the one hand, and cerebral Athena and chilly Artemis on the other side. Make it hate!sex, make it one of them being curious about the knowledge/skills of the other, or even comfortable mutual appreciation. Aphrodite/Persephone... I'm a big fan of the modern reinterpration of the Persephone myth, where she goes to Hades out of her own free will, so if you could include that I would be very happy. Another big plus here would be to somehow emphasise the fact that they're non-human, especially in physical details. Also there's a bit of a tendency to portray Aphrodite as a mindless bubblehead, which I really don't like. A different sort of intelligence, maybe, but not stupid.
I'm also a big fan of Cassandra, I love the tragedy of her and I always picture her as world-weary, rather than hysterical. Helen/Cassandra could be a lot of things, pre-fall of Troy with Cassandra aware of Helen's fate and intrigued by it? or post, finding comfort with each other. Clytemnestra/Cassandra would be a ship of mutual respect, for me. One version of the legend sees Cassandra as prisoner of war of Agamemnon, so maybe Clytemnestra frees her and is fascinated by her seer-skills? Or she keeps Cassandra as slave for herself...

Night Watch: HISTORICAL LESBIANS. I deeply loved the Kay/Julia/Helen triangle and I'd love to see any extension of that. Preferably something not angst-heavy, if you can make it work. Like anything about early Kay/Helen when they just got together - when did she move in? How did they get from that meeting in the rubble to being lovers? Or Julia/Kay, because the idea of confident Julia yearning after a gallant but untouchable Kay seems fascinating to me. Helen/Julia would be difficult to get completely angst-free, although if you can pull it off, please. Anything with them being reasonably happy together would be welcome.
Also large part of the charm here was the historical setting, so no AU's, please?

Carmilla: HISTORICAL LESBIAN VAMPIRES. And I just want more of it. The story from Carmilla's POV? an alternate ending where Laura and Carmilla end up as happy murderous vampires together? A modern AU?

Sherlock: My love for Irene knows no bounds, and I'm really frustrated we didn't get to know more about Kate. So I'd like to see something with them. First meeting? Slice of life? post-Scandal happy reunion? While I do like them to be a happy consensual mutually-loving couple, I also like Irene being a bit of a dangerous ruthless bitch. If you manage to combine those two aspects I'd be very happy.
Clara/Harry is an interesting one because we know practically nothing about either of them. Harry sometimes gets interpreted pretty negatively, so I'd like to see a more complex interpretation. Similarities with John, maybe?

If you want to know more, you can find my previous yuletide letter here and I have a tumblr which is a fair representation of the inside of my mind.

But above all, dear author, have fun! Because more femslash in the world of fanfiction can only be a good thing.
