i hope something comes through in the way of a job offer, not to scare you, but i know from experience and personal research that many times it is hard to find a job if you are not a citizen because you simply don't have a social security number (yet) and the company won't offer a job to a foreigner unless they are sure they are not taking a potential job from an american. many times the company will transfer a person to another country (as the case of nicole's father) which makes things 100x easier. but the fact that you are in the process of filling out the fiance visa may be a positive point for companies etc reading your resume...en tout cas, i hope everything works out. ps- finally franck is getting his visa because he's starting his own business with a partner and being sponsored. phew

I had written a long answer to this, and pouf! the browser disappeared (((((
anyway, 1) being employed by a US company before fiancé visa = H-1 B visa, not possible until november/december due to 2004 quota being reached 2) being employed with fiancé visa=work permit = possible but not until a few months 3) being employed by a french office and working in a CA office = possible, and best way as u said, i'll be looking for it in the net weeks and right now.
good news for franck )) it's good that he was with u the whole time; i personnally need legal papers to work and can't afford risking deportation, banishment, Guantanamo ...

Thank you :)))
Yes! The Alliance Française rocks! I'll look into that. Maybe there are also some kind of a french community in CA that would help Niole and me in finding a job/place and preparing a wedding that is not too cheap (we'll have 90 days to get married after I get the visa, thanks to the great and wise US immigration laws).
Merci :))
