A soldier from D Company, the 503rd, 173rd Airborne Brigade has been critically injured. At this time, he is in the burn unit at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He was the only survivor of five soldiers caught in an IED attack last month. Cards and letters have been requested to help in the healing process. In the past, Patriot Pen Pals has done several care package drives for elementary aged children living in war ravaged countries. We have been asked to furnish items such as school supplies, clothing and shoes to those children that might otherwise have gone without.
