I won first place at my debate meet today! It was my first debate meet ever. I attribute a lot of the win to my partner, but it still feels REALLY good. We even both got first place bowling pins! *pumps fist*

Whoa. I love this. I also loved your choice of POV.

Nicely done.

Thanks for sharing!

LOVE THIS! I can really feel how isolated Sherlock is, tuning out what doesn't matter--even if it's John. And how he knows he's alone and dying, but then John shows up. And all Sherlock can say is John, John. *ohmyheart*

Colour me impressed. I'm not normally one for this POV but I think it works for this fic, and works very well indeed. Something about the detached narrative that fits with Sherlock as a whole (nice characterisation) as much as the circumstance.

I wasn't actually going to read this, more fool me. I'm glad that I did. The sensate topic was done very nicely.

I'm actually a big fan of 2nd person, but it only works in certain fics, so I know what you mean. I'm very glad that you ended up reading this though, and that you took the time to comment! Thank you! : )

You are more than welcome, and let's be glad for 'boredom' eh? :) I comment on things I really like - and in this: Sherlock is deliciously Sherlock plus you've managed to get that balance between the logician and the 'softer emotions' burgeoning withing him regarding John. Almost inconvenient, poor love, but that puzzle is what keeps him alive I think (apologies if I'm wrong and for the abuse of 'speechmarks' :3).

I know I've often been sceptical of a fic and then been ever grateful that I clicked on it. There was this one Sherlock which was a "magical island AU" and I sort of raised an eyebrow, but it turned out to be one of my favorite fics of all time.
You're totally right. Sherlock really is a balance of the scientist and the person, and it most puzzle him how John seems to bring that emotion to the surface. GAH, I love these characters! *huggles them*
*Sherlock slips out of the hug while John, ever long suffering, endures it*
Heehe. <3

Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous. Poignant and a nicely crafted take on Sherlock's more intimate processes. The argument with John where he quotes Moriarty was just perfect in its awfulness.
I love the format as well, second person POV can be hard to do well but it's fantastic when it is.

Oh, thank you so much. I just had this moment of, "am I really doing this to them?" when Sherlock quoted Moriarty. I'm glad you liked it too.
I agree, 2nd person can be terrific when done well. I wrote this fic in it a lot for the challenge it gives.
Thank you so much! : )
