Rotorua!
We went, we saw bubbling mud, we played Wii Olympics! And also ate excellent food and soaked in the hot springs (mmm hotsprings).

One more week til study leave. Thank god! I've got two speaking assignments today in Spanish and Italian, and then an Italian history test on Thursday that I'm going to have to do some serious study for, then I'm home free. Oh, and my last Sex and Ethics class is on Wednesday as well, which is a bit sad. It's been a really great course.

Argh at the government
It's really not healthy for me to RAGE over my toast in the morning, but sweet lord, I can't help it.
I HATE the bloody government fucking up our country! They just raised the GST from 12.5% to 15%, making life all that little bit more expensive. And why did they do this? So they could afford to give the big earners, the over $120,000 a year ( Read more... ) -

Screw 'I might be getting a cold'. I HAVE a cold. It hit me like a freight train at about 3.30 this morning and I didn't manage to sleep in stretches longer than half an hour after that.

Went to today's Women's Fest event. We watched a film called The Coathanger project and then held a discussion panel about abortion access and rights in New Zealand.
Did you know that our abortion legislation is written in the Crimes Act? So that it comes under jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice, not the Ministry of Health, the only medical ( Read more... ) -

Got an email from the uni library this morning saying I had an overdue book. I was rather confused, given I'd got it out last night. I figured someone had just got their wires crossed and I could sort it out when I went up this afternoon to print some stuff out.
