Ditto (like Anna) about the gerbil. How traumatizing!

Hominy is a relative of corn, but bigger. Usually, people use it in menudo, a mexican dish made with tripe (basically, pig or cow guts). Obviously, I'm not a fan of menudo, but I definitely love hominy. Pauline, when I find it, we have to try what is basically the dried, but still ever so crispy and delicious version of hominy that I had once with Melissa and her mom. Yummmm!

I know! Poor little rodent. But I wrote her this haiku, to send her off in style:
