Given the red state/blue state divide, Comedy Central's call for a civil war no longer seems so far-fetched... :-P

for a long time i was for the seccession of california...until arnie got elected and it was shown that people from california aren't THAT much more reasonable. now i'm thinking the west coast should break off (then we could still have a border with canada. and you know how i love canada). we'll take hawaii with us too, as you can't fly there except from a coastal state, and i'm not letting any of those backwards hicks set foot in my country.
is there a provision in our constitution for states to leave the union? like yugoslavia? (only we'll try to avoid the whole war-genocide thing). hmm... gonna have to do some research
