People who really don't get it

I'm continually amazed at the inflexibility and willful blindness of people who are supposed to be adults, people who cannot see that things do not have to be their way for life to still be a wonderful adventure for them.

Case in point #1 - Locally we did this spectacular production of Jekyll & Hyde that was far beyond anything I've ever seen in ( Read more... )

RRRROOOOBBBBIIIINNNN!!!! **flying Ten hug** Thank you, you sweetheart ... and yeah, Case in point #2 is a mutual friend of ours. I'm not sure what burr got up his bum, but he's shut me out, I guess because he didn't like what I had to say. It's sad, really, very sad.

*braids your hair* Hey ... is your avatar the origami unicorn from "Blade Runner?"

I think it's chatroom tension, I've missed most of it; played a little but really don't have time lately.

Mmmmm braiding.

Yep; that's the Bladerunner unicorn :)

My favourite film!

*HUGS* How the bewossname are you anyway?

Blade Runner .... indeed an awesome movie.

I'm doing great. Busy as hell all the time. Did three shows this spring, teaching privately (more than 30 students, but taking the summer off), DH & I are regularly going up to Black Hawk for rest, relaxation, and gambling, and my eldest is preparing to move to New York to "take her shot" at Broadway. She's ready, I just hope she doesn't get eaten by the city.

Thanks, Compy. *LOL & hugs* I LOVE the Drama Llama and it is SOOOOOO true. As we both know, some people online THRIVE on this kind of stuff *coughQBcough* ... it's just sad that it came from nowhere from someone I've known for so long, who has actually stayed in my home.

*starts humming the Drama Llama tune* Yep, some cannot live without some kind of drama, even if it's manufactured themselves.

People can be idiots. But it sad when someone refuses to be more than they are when they have great promise.

I still cannot get over how idiot/foolish some people can be with theater. The so called adults in your area and those here that protested Ragtime being a school production need a reality check.
