Writer's Block: You Wouldn't Understand
My answer is probably "Technical," as it relates to the difficulty of riding a mountain bike on a trail (less often, it applies to straight-up hiking as well). So, a "technical" trail means it's full of wheel traps, babyheads, tombstones and other insta-death just waiting to throw you to the ground.

Mina's A Keeper
Time for a Mina update: I've taken her on two long off-leash walks along the canal and she's been a total champ both times. No chasing, no yelling, she comes right back when asked and immediately sits to get clipped back onto her leash. That's the clincher for me -- this is my dog now. Mine! You can't have her.

A lousy metaphor I've been thinking about
I've been following this thread over at Story-Games about -- as I read it -- one poster's dissatisfaction with what he sees as un-useful boosterism about games among friends and fans. If that's his position, I agree.
