i hate to say this, but her live shows are very unpredictable and sometimes very painful. i've seen her twice. She is a serious alcoholic (or was).

i heard rumors that she's playing in detroit for free. see, this is why you need to come visit.
she flipped out when i saw her, which was uncomfortable, but she "played" for around 3 hours and did a rendition of "nude as the news" with "she's lost control" in place of the chorus.

I liked her when I saw her (in Toronto; I guess the You Are Free tour)

she acted a little awkward - she sat at her keyboard in the corner wearing sunglasses while her bandmates took centre stage - but she didn't flip out and she even bantered with the audience a little.

i expect the show to be good. she seems to have mellowed out a little. here's hoping.
