And you can address his willingness to do things for you whether or not you're successful at enjoying having things done for you.
I suggest you ask him for something simple -- like cooking you dinner, or taking you to a movie, or fetching groceries from the store. Even a made-up errand would be useful, insofar is it might get the both of you thinking in new patterns.
