Saw the link to this over on hoodie-time, so I came over to read, and basically spent my Sunday here on your lj, enjoying this story. Truly amazing plot and characters, and I loved how you have linked it to canon, making it fit in seamlessly. Really well done, and thank you for sharing it with the internt.

The time lapse actually worked perfectly for me: I had pretty much completely forgotten what I had read before so I could start over from the beginning, and then I got to read it all in one go with no waits between chapters, and it also came precisely when I was sick and needed something to read while I was cocooned on the chesterfield.

Loved the resolution! The twistiness of Spence being stealth-possessed by a CRD, and just when I was going "but what about the vision of the diner with the red and white tiles?" it dovetailed perfectly into AHBL I. (Also, I'm sadistically enjoying the fact that Beth is going to Hell after what she did to poor Sammy's arm in the car window. ;) )

I stole what Beth did to Sammy's arm in the car window from a famous brawl with my brother, JD. It ended with Dad marching out of the house and blasting us both with: "QUIT BREAKING MY CAR, YOU PAIR OF HOWLER MONKEYS."

I could swear i've read some of it before...is it something you had to put on hold for a while? The whole bike path thing is so familiar.....

ANYWAY - i really love a Powers!Sam and really hate that he ended up in that same damn diner after how careful they were being and and and...DEAN!

Oh man. Yes. I started writing this thing about three years ago. *shameface* Life got...I don't even know, something. I only just kicked my butt into finishing it.

...you were able to work up the proper mojo to return to the story and bring it to a close with the same energy and love that you gave to the earlier chapters.Jesus, I don't know how true that is, but it was certainly one of my greatest fears in returning to this fic. I'll be honest, I haven't watched much SPN this year, and the episodes I have, I confess I've mostly fallen asleep. I fell asleep in the episode where Bobby died. I FELL ASLEEP IN THE EPISODE WHERE BOBBY DIED ( ... )
