I should learn not to get my hopes up. The job I was hoping to be open mid-year that I had really started to want has been filled. So now I'm back to square one, probably going to have to fucking substitute teach next semester, which I'm really not excited about.

I definitely dropped 80 bucks at D.J.'s today, and half of that was choral octavos. Clearly I have a problem. The good news is, apparently I'm finally back in music teacher mode. The honest fact is, I spend far too many Saturday nights alone. I think if you calculated the ratio of how many Saturday nights (or really weekend nights in general) that I have spent at home by myself in the last few years as opposed to going out with other people, it would easily be at least 5 to 1. I am what you would probably call a casual fan of the Harry Potter books. I've read them, I've enjoyed them, and I'm curious to see how the story ends. Whew!
So this top shelf whiskey I bought the other day is really fantastic, but it's also 100 proof, so a little bit goes a long way (i.e. knocks me on my ass).
