My life over the past two months has been kind of  busy and even more complicated. Month after month flies by and I have trouble updating this damn thing. My tragic flaw is an odd cocktail of self-absorption and embarrassment over my self-absorption- which leaves me with so much to say that I feel like a prisoner of my own mind and the realization that no one could possibly care as much about what I have to say as myself.

Writing has gotten almost cripplingly hard to do as I feel like any time I’m not spilling my guts it’s not worth it. I really kind of wish it was the opposite way and I could be mundane, but the fire burns out a lot easier these days.

It’s difficult me to think of a time I’ve been more completely and utterly burnt out on writing than I am now. I’ve got a lot to say and even more words to say it, but it just dies when I sit down at a computer. I second guess my reasons for even bothering with it and just end up wasting time on the internet instead.

Writing never gets a whole lot easier. I’d like to say I’m too busy living to sit down and write and while that’s true some of the time, more often than not it isn’t. But I’ve said that in so many only mildly different words so many times before.

The internet and I are now spending less time apart, I guess. Adam’s been gone in the Virgin Islands with his family, I wish I could say I took great advantage of this in a particular way, but I spent most of it alone. I can’t say I haven’t enjoyed the privacy and solitude.

As for reading, I got my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows shortly after Midnight when it was released. Then I partook in EXTREME READING, by walking into Curley’s and reading it while drinking beer at a bar. This Livejournal is now almost 4 years old. It started out as just a means to read friends’ entries and to throw out mildly witty paragraph long entries as a supplemental to my more serious Deadjournal. Over the years, it’s evolved into a whole lot more than that.
