My Daily Twitter

  • 16:56 I just got twitterberry working. I hate how services ask for username when they actually mean your email. #
  • 16:58 Poor Kailey is sick and not herself. Its the only reason she is letting Mommy play with her blackberry. #
  • 17:09 Should I become one of those people that tweet about what they are eating? #

I have to admit... I don't get twitter. Perhaps I'm missing something big on the tech train but I just don't see it.

Its like the status updates on Facebook but more frequent. I see lots of people use FB status updates like twitter.

No I get that bit... but the status updates on FB are part of a larger app that does other things. Twitter...err... just twits.

The site was made from the ground up to be a cell phone app. They do SMS and now you can access them through cell plans with data. The web aspect is just there to store your tweets and let you do account changes. You can post online if you want but most don't. It was before smart phones really picked up for the average cell user and data plans became affordable in the states and more recently Canada. So accessing things like LJ and FB by phone weren't available.

Honestly I got bored of it last time I was playing with it but decided to try again now that I have a smartphone and can use twitter the way it was meant.
