Hello,,,this is Macie (Schaeffer) Kingsley; a friend from round way back! I found your post as I was reading some of my other friends' posts here on Live Journal. So, hi for reals! I'm happy for you guys. And, I live about an hour east of Portland in White Salmon, Wa. I am getting to know my way around Portland. I can totally relate to you--when you first try to drive in Portland/Vancouver it totally bites. It is the most confusing city in the whole wide world, However, I do know my way to quite a few Wincos (the best place to shop on the planet). So, if you are ever up for a Winco trip you should give me a shout out and maybe we could go together, At any rate, good luck in your efforts to learn Portland area. It gets better, and there are so many very, very, very fun things to do!!! It is a really fabulous city.

Oh, and there are some GREAT humane societies and purebred dog rescues for when you decide to get that puppy. :)

Ha! My very first time driving in Portland was on a trip to Fred Meyers too! I miss Freddie's. Since then, I also had to conquer driving on the freeway in Portland. It's still all very intimidating. And yes, I have got lost, and have got my Dad and my brother lost too. hehe. I miss you friend! I still need to mail you your final page for your scrapbook! :)
