Yes, my summer is officially over. I've been working a second job this summer - cleaning apartments when tenants move out...grueling work...in order to save up enough money to replace our two biggest, oldest, worst windows in our house. well we went to the Get Motivated! conference in Spokane on Wednesday. it was actually way cool. they had half the arena set up for the conference, and the lower half and floor were completely full, and then the upper half was half full - TONS of people! the cool thing about that, which we did not know beforehand, was that the people who put this ( Read more... )

yes, last night we went camping. tent camping. WITH both kids. no, no, it was actually very fun. i had to wipe dirt and rocks out of little boy's mouth every couple hours, but then i also caught him before he put the rock in his mouth several times, so that was good. little girl had a blast. we just went tent camping at boyer for a night. there was ( Read more... )

husband is home. my days are happy again.
my den is painted, just need to add some finishing touches.
filing cabinet is assembled, i did a kick-butt job.
shelves are cut, i just need to sand and paint.

life is good.

I have learned a new skill! I think it's called "mudding" but I am totally not sure. It's where you take "drywall joint compound" and smear it on a hole or dent or rip in the wall, and make it all smooth, and let it dry, and then sand it down (wet sand it, so you don't inhale the carcinogenic dust), and then slather on a little bit more and then ( Read more... )
