Originally they thought she had a kidney stone, but it now seems she has Pyelonephritis - an infection in the lining of the kidney and as painful as a stone. She is ( Read more... )

Thank you, she seems to be doing great. Two days on an antibiotic and she's like a new person. I, on the other hand, -cough- have been sent to the hospital labs each of the last two days in an effort to figure out what I have. -cough-

My goodness, you have had a really rough time of it..Do you or the doctors even know what started all this? how long has it been going on?? Do you remember anything that could have happened that made your system begin this?? I am just wondering...I will pray for your quick recovery...

I learned long ago if you don't laugh, you cry. It's better to laugh. Thank you for the well wishes and kind words.

Oh, sweetheart! I was so hoping you wouldn't need to see the inside of a hospital for a while. Glad they know what is wrong and that your daughter is feeling better. Now if they could just get you feeling better, or at least not coughing up a lung! The ER has to win you the prize for least romantic Valentine's Day date!

Laurie is doing great. Two days of antibiotics and she is a new person. Even though I had surgery the end of December, I haven't been sick in a few months, so things are looking up. I just need to stop coughing. I have a terrible cough (literally sounds like I'm going to lose a lung - everyone moves away from me, lol)

Unfortunately, eight total trips last year to the hospital and the staff sort of knows me. (rolls eyes) Really, you don't want to be on a first name basis because you've been there so often.
