hmm. I'm on vacation. I have the whole week off. I'm spending up in Port Ludlow with my mom. Today we went shopping in Port Townsend. It's this small, beach town. Everyone there is a hippie. I like it because it's the only day of the year that it's completely acceptable to get trashed and play with explosives.

actually, that's not it. I like it because there are gorgeous fireworks, and barbeques and friends. It's the peak of what summer stands for.

Nah, they've all got different names, it's my mom's side of the family. I think there's actually 4 different surnames.

yeah. that was nuts. that was probably one of my favorite 4ths of July. sure, it was awkward and weird, and Ryan accidentally ate seafood, but other than that, it was pretty sweet.
