Books

I think I will keep a list of the books I have read this year. I always hear about the "50 book challenge", so I think I will keep a record. Thus far:

1) "The Brothers Karamazov", Fyodor Dostoevsky (re-reading of a classic, brilliant as always)

2) "Eragon", Christopher Paolini (good, considering it was written by a teenager)
3) "One for the Money", ( Read more... )

I wish I could read as quickly as you. I'm considering the "5 book challenge" and am even intimidated by that.

Well Sweetheart, the major problem I see is the books you choose to read. I mean, the CHRISTIAN BIBLE??? Come on now, that is akin to reading WAY MORE than 50 books! Actually, if you take it literally, by the time you get done you will have read 66 books!

I suppose you do have a point. It's hard to get in to something that you either aren't really excited about, or that takes extra comprehension, especially since that's what makes me so slow. Having A Brief History of Time on the list won't help either.

I find that skipping quickly through "Numbers" and "Deuteronomy" speeds things up a bit. Parts of it are definitely interesting, but the EXACT size of the tent to hold the Ark of the Covenent, number of guards and their schedule for patrolling gets just a tad too nit-picky for me.

Hm. Perhaps I shall join you in this... what a great idea. :) I've already got 4 books down and have started book 5.

I have always wanted to do the 50 book challenge, but I knew I would be too lazy to write them all down. This year I WILL do this! If I can look at your book list, then it will motivate me (just as looking at your food entries has motivated me)! When I FINALLY grow up I will be like you, hehe!

*chuckles* Oh stop! ;)

I should create a list of books that I want to read this year. We have 500+ books and half of which I've never read (likely read by my hubby). I know some of the ones I haven't read, I've bought. Or I've only gotten part-way through them. Then again, there are a few I wouldn't mind re-reading, too. Hm. That way, if I have a list, I can't sit there complaining about how I have nothing to read. I can just go to the list, look for a book in the genre I want to read and have at it. No thinking at that time involved. ;)

Okay Kit...

Heather pointed this out to me and I'm going to do it!
(At least until I get bored or the apathy gene kicks in)

I already started with the books I've read so far this year and will update as I go. WARNING: I can get a bit eclectic with my reading.
