Not many people know this about me, but I am absolutely terrified of flying. So much that the very glimpse of a plane in the sky makes my heart sink. I had the same problem when going to the UK every year. I learned to board a plane with only a few hours of sleep in me, no food, and had one mixed drink when we took off -it put me out. The trick was to exhaust myself.

I never used to be scared until I went to Boston. and it isn't even really the actual flying that scares me, it's the small spaces and confined seating for hours at a time that makes me go loopy. I always sit next to my sister, because she's getting her pilots license, she's been a flight attendent and she's studied aeronautical science so she always tells me what all the noises are and it makes me feel better. and I've always noticed how all the other plane crashes are in other countries, so it restores my faith in the US airlines. Hopefully your fears will slowly go away, have you ever tried to take sleeping pills so you'll just sleep the whole time?

Oh yeah, I forgot about your sister! Can she come with me and coax me through it too? I just got a prescription for xanax. My doctor said take half of one and a glass of wine and I will be set... the only thing is my flight leaves at 1am and we have a connecting flight. I know... I do feel much safer in the US, and notice that there have been a majority of crashes overseas... however this time, I will be flying internationally. Sighhhhhhhhhhhh

when I flew back to hawaii from the mainland, there was MAJOR turbelence over like santa barbara and I was CRYINGGGG so hard, and I was by myself, im too scared to fly alone again..but I keep getting told its safe..take a xanex <33
