I liked Edmonton... but then, it was 17 years ago I was there.

Did you check out the mall? It's got an indoor wave pool, shitloads of waterslides... there's an indoor theme park (that I didn't go to) shitloads of shops (uh duh) and a themed hotel above it (or nearby, I can't remember). I always wanted to go to the truck themed room, the bedsheets were black with the yellow centre line down them and you slept in the back of a ute ('pick up') - on a mattress, not just on hard, very uncomfortable metal.
There's always mini golf in the mall... and that was where I saw Joey Jeremiah from Degrassi Junior High! Whatever the actor's name is, anyway.
I didn't get his autograph, the line was way too long for me to bother.

Yeah I had a look at the mall last time I was here about a year and a half ago - fucking massive. Biggest indoor swim park in the world, biggest mall in the northern hemisphere (or was at the time), crazy shit. Kat wouldn't let me go on the roller coaster - she said it was for 'kids'. I'm a fucking kid! Bah. So yeah, awesome shit.

Okay I'll admit it, that's a complete lie. Unfortunately I'm at that point in the project where taking time off to go elsewhere would be looked upon with career-endangering scorn by management. It's funny, they never send you overseas at the relaxed time, when there might actually be a chance to go sight-seeing or visit friends...::sigh::
