Seen it.
Fun action flick. Brought the toys to life. CG is a bit inconsistent quality-wise, and the acting/plot is not great. But it is a fun mindless action flick.

Hubby and I ended up taking Gavin with us to see it yesterday afternoon and we had a blast.

I've seen it. I should have waited for it to come out on DVD. It's definitely a rent. I thought it was a bit cheesy.

Why is everyone being so goddamn picky about this movie? It's just as "good" as Transformers (the story is actually more coherent and an hour shorter). In the end, they're both pretty much the same, and both very good for being based off of 25 year old toy lines. I had just as much fun at Rise of Cobra as I did at Revenge of the Fallen. It honestly says a lot about taste of a lot of people when Transformers is hailed as "awesome" and "ingenious" while GI Joe is toted as "just turn you're brain off and it's okay."

Now, now, everyone is entitled to their opinions. :p I hadn't heard much about "GI Joe" from my friends list one way or the other on it. The more I saw the previews, the less hope I had for the movie. I don't know what it was, but they were turning us off of the movie.

Hubby and I ended up taking Gavin with us to see it yesterday afternoon and we had a blast. In some ways I enjoyed "GI Joe" more than I did "Revenge of the Fallen". I can saw now that would have been a shame if we hadn't seen it in the theater to begin with.
