Well the sore ear did turn out to be an ear infection. Poor Gavin, first he had H1N1 and now an ear infection. Strange thing was there was no fever with the ear infection, just the pain. He's on amoxicillin for the infection and children's motrin for the pain and/or any fever

My strongest sympathies for the little guy. I am on the tail end of an ear infection, so I know how much they hurt. I can imagine it'd be enough to make him puke. Here's hoping he gets better soon.

I remember seeing that on twitter. Hope your ear infection clears up soon. It's been a while since I've had one, but I do recall some of the pain. Part of why I set up the doctor's appointment yesterday afternoon was the pain Gavin appeared to be in. He was constantly whimpering and had an occasional tear run down his face so I knew he hurt big time. Now that he's on the medicine he's much happier.

That's too bad that he has an ear infection, but at least no fever. Is he squeamish about ear infections in general, so thinking about it makes him sick?
