Well, you've reawaken my crush on Elrond. That was lovely and subtle. Not all of the Lay of Gil-galad was by Tolkien, right? The parts you wrote blended beautifully with the original.

Now I need a Elrond icon. And if you had Elrond/Gil-galad recs, I wouldn't say no ;)

Thank you! Glad you liked. :D Of the lay, only verses one, two, and six were Tolkien's, the rest my efforts at... damn, I can't find my copy of The Ode Less Travelled to check what the name of that type of poem is. ;P

Gawd, recs. I can't remember any right now, but will certainly let you know when I find some. Saw a couple at Henneth Annûn, if I recall correctly. And icons, here are three I made, in case they tickle your interest. :)

Henneth Annûn, that brings me back. I wonder if my old login still works. Of course, that implies I can find it. *g*

I like to make my own icons, but thanks for the offer. I wasn't able to find caps I liked on the web, but I remembered that I'm now the proud owner of a DVD drive, so I'll do some tomorrow. I'll have to watch the Elrond scenes again, which is such a hardship ;) Is there a program you prefer for capping movies?

Heh, alas, I use a Mac, so all I need is Cmd-Shift-4 to make a cap. And yes, watching Elrond scenes is such a chore! ;)

My all-time favourite Wilde/Dorian Gray quote has to be, "Her dresses always looked like they were made in a storm and put on in a tempest." (From memory.) I use that far too often in conversation.

Mwah hah! Potterfic always gets ya, and will not let go. XD Good for you.

Ah! That was it, indeed. :) It's the tempest bit that has stuck to my mind most, I guess.

The Potterverse is vast and wide and canon-Naziesque, but at least there's the Lexicon.

I believe that myself and one person on my flist, are the only two people in LJ-land getting comment notifications. I wonder if I should feel special or left out? I'll stick with feeling special until someones busts my bubble.

The most annoying thing is, I get some comment notifications. Just not all of them. So either at some point there's going to be a big old BLARBLAGHBLAH! flood of comment emails, or some conversations have forever been interrupted. Woe. So, do feel special. ;)

The elves are so very hideously (in the delightful sense) gay, whichever gender, and it's not even about the hair! Gay gay GAY.

Anyway, glad you liked. :) The Elrond/Gil-galad subtext really is rife all around.
