having a roof that leaks, after spending four grand on it a couple years ago, is just plain depressing.

Repairs? Hmmnn, there's a thought! Actually, I'll have to put up with the drips for a while, until my husband can get up into the attic (which involves crawling through a hatch in the side wall of a skylight well, about 10 feet above the bed) on a sunny day, and look for light leaks, because where it drips inside is not neccesarily where the water is getting in. Our building is 99 years old, and has a raised-seam metal roof that slopes front to back. We had the rear half covered with torch-down roofing, and the front half should have had yet another coat of aluminized roof goop spread on it last year, but we didn't get around to it. When the wind blows hard, the roof flexes and makes wooba wooba noises, so finding and fixing leaks is an ongoing process. The ultimate plan is to coat the front half with torch-down, too, but husband wants to do it himself instead of hiring expensive roofers again. So, money and time, like everything else in an antique structure. But thanks for asking ( ... )

Why pencilfairy?

It gives one the notion that you enjoy drawing or enjoy drawings of fantasy flora and fauna. Or am I totally wrong?

BTW: How's the wooba-wooba lately?

Ah, the Legendary Harriet, Little Red Zippy Car...she needs work on her exhaust system, not to mention the oil leaks and the rust. Glad you like her, and the Red Room; many folks think we're just nuts, with the whole RE enthusiasm, but, as I often point out, if we were Ohio State Football fans, and decorated accordingly, no one would think it odd ( ... )
