That, and the inability to filter/lock posts and do other internal maintenance without resorting to mainly third-party applications (Tumblr Savior, Missing E, and the like) makes me want to run screaming. It's hard enough to follow Twitter some days; Tumblr just seems like the difficult parts writ large.
Then again, I do admit that I come from an age where the lines between online and RL were drawn a lot more sharply, and Tumblr seems to be part of the trend that blurs that quite a lot. *bitter old fandom hag*

Preach. I can't get used to it--I know it's not possible to be entirely anonymous on the web, but I still want put up a bit of a fight. Also, I don't think I'm being inauthentic, I just don't see any conflict in tailoring my self-presentation, the same way I have a professional persona at work, a daughter/sister persona with family, etc.
Also, filters so important. When I'm going for my fandom fix, I don't want to wade through someone's political posts, sports rah-rah, in-jokes I'm not a part of, etc.

While I may post art to my tumblr page first (because of laziness mostly), I do post probably 99% of the art here afterward! (the other 1% is questionable scribbles...that...actually might get posted on lj too, just without any particularly haste ^^;)
