I'd actually be down for that. Gives me a chance to visit with family and stuff in Michigan, and chill at a small con at the same time.

Too far out to really plan, though it sounds kinda fun.

And the Detroit Zoo has a bunch of penguins. =)

Ha! I could just buy one. I am sure the folks at the zoo are reasonable people. Just tack enough zeros on and they beome as flexible as wet string. ;) That and holding their children to sale on the black market adds some barganing power.
