Lots of people have been doing that tv meme recentlly. Silently, I found myself replying to a lot of those questions with "BSG miniseries". To this day and 4 seasons of BSG, I still consider its pilot movie one of the best things ever. One of the best BSG "episodes" ever and one of the best movies in general, ever. Considering the fact that I was

Funniest thing is that when crazyyounglady and my younger brother practically teamed up to trick me into starting bsg journey *sigh*, they actually advised me against watching the pilot for various reasons, mainly because it was basically long and boring. So had I been through three seasons and raizor, all of a sudden it occured to me that I actually have the prologue to come back to *insert a dalia icon here*

You know, it's funny because I've been reading a lot of people say that about the mini. It being boring, that is. Personally, I think it just takes enough time to let the story unfold, to show thoughtful scenes and slow building emotion, but never boring.
So, how was it to watch the pilot after 3 seasons? Or, how was it to start with 33 without having gotten to know the characters so well in the mini?

Well to start with I was familiar with Mary's character owing to the fact that crazyyounglady went literally crazy about LR. Oh totally I had this FTW reaction to the weirdo Baltar guy and his imaginary girlfriend,as for the rest of it, it was pretty clear as to what was going (I'd be lying though if I say I wasn't a tiny bit suspicious about the entire cylon mythical plot ), so. Looking to the bright side, I had the lovely 'making having babies' moment saved up to savour when stuff got ugly (namely season 3).

Aww, thank you for your post to this! &hearts
You know I loved the Colonial One pilot, of course I would include shots of him. :D Hee!
So glad I did, and proud to say I've been there since the beginning.
Wow, did you watch it before the 1st season had been filmed? I only discovered it in the middle of season 2.
*sob C1pilot*. :P
I'm so with you in sobbing over never seeing him again. Sometimes, when we saw shots of Colonial One showing its cockpit later in the series, I was so sure I could spot him. :P
I liked just about everyone though I thought some of the young actors were a bit new to acting.
I have to say the one young actor that left an impression on me at this point was Aaron Douglas. But he had some good scenes, too. I was fond of Apollo, but I think this pretty much came down to his interactions with Kara and especially Laura.
Hee, you made my mind go into a naughty direction. My mind just followed you, thanks for that! *g ( ... )
