Wanna make a bad summer worse? Judith just called to tell me I have jury duty on July 27. And because I've postponed twice, it won't let me postpone again. Apparently that's the way New York works it. Except that I was pretty sure you got to choose your date ( Read more... )

In Minnesota I think you only get to postpone once, but I don't really know because I moved before I had to serve my postponed date. I wouldn't be surprised if that's how most states worked. Anyway, I'm sure if you call them they'll be more flexible. Are either your subletted apartment or the apartment you're subletting legal arrangements? And even if they're not, you do have proof from your internship.

You might want to get in touch with your school first, in case they can help you/have advice. You should also tell PBS just to give them a heads up. Maybe they'll have advice, too.
