My computer is being really slow and annoying again....no Countdown to Doom as of yet, but there is a considerably large amount of pop-ups. Tim, I am now squinting at the Post-It note you gave me the last time this happened. Will "disk cleanup" or "DEFRAG!!!!" help? Woe is the kitten

That's what my laptop is doing!!!!!!!!!!! My Dad's spent like HEURES trying to fix it, and bought new Norton and all kinds of INSANE measures to get it working. It's not much better.
Oh and I almost forgot: aaaawww!!!

Have you tried any of the anti-spyware programs that everybody knows about and you must know about?

AdAware

Spybot Search and Destroy

I would use all of three of them in a row, then use all three of them in a row again. And then maybe again in a different order.
