The end of Mrs. Dalloway was pretty good... i had some questions about the actual ending, like why it ended in Peter's voice etc. (and how if it does at all relate to the feminist perspective), but prof seriously SUCKS. she only had one day of discussion for the novel, and we didn't even talk about the ending.... instead, she wanted to move onto Faulkner's As i lay dying instead. i hate her, cause this novel definately deserves more time. what's with all the water references/metaphors anyways?

I'm on serious cold medicine, but I'm going to try and sound intellectual. That totally sucks about your prof...who cares about Faulkner...is your prof a chick??? If so, she's weird. Anyways, water references always refer to women and the "feminine", you know like childbirth and all that good stuff. I'd have to read it again to remember why she ends on Peter's POV. We could totally start a book club and read this book.

my prof IS a woman, but i bet she's all right-winged-ultra-conservative-gender-forming-type o woman. she's the crazy one that brings goats to class, talks to herself in the middle of class, call me out as the only person of color in class, proceeds to almost throw up in class, says the most outrageous quotes, and talks about how she doesn't think her future inlaws will like her. i seriously hate her. and love her at the same time, cause class is always interesting... even if it is for the wrong reasons.
