after two nights of staying up until dawn (or tonight, almost dawn) and working 8 hours a day,  i have come to the conclusion that dan brown is a genius.  da vinci code is the best book i have ever read in my life.  if it hadn't been for my job, i would have read it in less than 24 hours.

however, even with its genius its got so many messed up ( Read more... )

that was the best book ive read in a while...as much as i hate to say it i believe that dan brown wrote this book as his own theory...and i might not necessarily believe everything he has to say, but i did like the thoughts he put down into the book. i think thats what makes the book so entangling and interesting. but hey that book really makes you think, and for someone to really go out on a limb like brown had to no that there would be a "controversy" over it...i think thats why i wanted to read it in the first place. i think its stupid that someone could actually ridicule him when it is strictly a fiction novel. oh what is this world coming to...now i really want to read angles and demons although ive heard it sucks...anywho....oh by the way you spelled piece wrong throughout your entry haha

i understand what you are talking about. and i just bought angels and demons and plan to start reading it momentarily. except i heard it was good (i don't fully expect it to be as good as da vinci code though). and don't ridicule me about my spelling, i wrote that at nearly 5 a.m. and just cause i'm a high school graduate does not mean i understand that i goes before e.

however, even with its genius its got so many messed up points:
1. the new testament being altered by constantine
2. the assumtions made in da vinci's fresno - although, i have checked and many details seem to be extremely accurate
3. the holy grail is not what you think it is... its really documents, old books from the bible that where cut by constantine, and the remains of mary magdeline.
4. and finally, the most obsurd, Jesus having been married to mary magdeline and her being pregnent the night of the crucifixion.

2.- i went to this art thing a couple of eyars ago-- a[[arently the person to teh right of Jesus is john teh baptist- he was described as being quite feminine...
idk.
the concept was new to me though
