I've been on overdrive ever since I got back, and I am so excited at the prospect of catching up and slowing down somewhere along the weekend. I'm back in the city. When I got off the bus and into the cab and soared through the little neighborhoods and past the pretty city lights I had to stop myself from feeling anything other than disappointment. The roadtrip to Canada with my poor little car actually turned out wonderfully. Canada is a magical happy wonderful place and I will never forget the short time we spent there and will anxiously await our next trip that will hopefully be more planned out and will allow more than one night and afternoon. Today I got to spend the day with my Teri-Bear. She was one of my bestest friends in high school. Going away to college made most of our clique drift pretty far away from each other, but not she and I. The Christmas Eve was a pretty bad day, but we all put on our best smile and made it through the day without completely falling apart. I am hoping Santa will bring us some cheer and peace for Christmas. That's all I want. If he could make it last for the entire last week that I am here that would be euphoric.
