Love Is Kind of Crazy With a Spooky Little Boy Like You

Apr 27, 2010 09:06

So, I've had it up to here with my webhost, and I'm shutting down my site. ::shakes tiny fist::  It's all at Gossamer, anyway.

What else? Well, I've been living and breathing Mulder, and looking out through his eyes, and this weekend we were up in the woods, sort of hanging around and bored, and S. was writing something on the back of my shirt with ( Read more... )

It's nice to see fans from of old who still have an active love for the show and its characters. So many people are now gone.

Her Mulder face reminds me of the old Mac OS logo.

But I love your website...

Interesting that you were thinking so much about Mulder that he manifested on the back of your shirt. ;0)
And like the best artistic creations, it was ephemeral and temporary...

I've been trying to evoke Mulder--and Scully and William, et al, lately, but not so much as one burr on the back of my shirt. I've got Big Bang looming and I could use a little manifestation. ;0)

(Hope this isn't a double post. My internet connection is acting up.

I know, it was fun having a website, but they've been ripping me off for years...

I didn't know that you're doing Big Bang! The best of luck with that. I will be over here throwing virtual burrs at the back of your shirt. For inspiration, I find that watching the pertinent eps, playing the right music, finding some really good stills of M&S, and warming up with some excellent fic can all help. Take lots of little notes throughout the day when you're at work, talk to lots of people, and just live in the story 24/7.

I love that these little updates from you sprinkled here and there just always make me smile. Glad to hear that you're writing (or at the very least in the headspace for it), and I hope you're well in all other ways too!

The same to you, Zellie. I'm well, just extremely busy. Nice to hear from you.

I'm starting to have website abandonment issues. First Jintian deletes her site, then Khyber (whose email now bounces back, too. Bastard.), CazQ leaves without a word, to anyone outside her inner circle, anyway. Aloysia is gone. Now Scarletbaldy has done the unthinkable and left, too.

Not that I'm gossiping or anything.

Now that they are MIA, I have stolen all of their best icons. Khyber's, too.

I don't expect this will make you feel any better, but you are not the only one who has developed RescueHaiti-Induced Writer's Block. There are no fewer than THREE writers who owe me stories. Well, four, now. I just commissioned another one. (head desk)

For the record, I also love your website. The text is easier for me to read and the artwork is memorable and adds to the overall experience. I don't suppose you'd consider moving it. I'm sure I could work something out.

I actually don't have writer's block, and my story is almost finished. But finding the time to go in deep is difficult at the moment, and I'm at a crucial part, and it's just too important to slap it out. It needs time and delicacy, both in short supply.

Sorry for assuming.

The icon is by foxestacado, one of the best. So you own the domain name but need a new host. You have copies of all of the files and coding, I assume?
