So the unhappy news first. I called home tonight to talk to my family, and it turns out that they had to have the family dog put down. And while I'm upset about it, I'm more pissed off about why she had to be put down. She was old (for a dog of her breed: a great dane), but in good health. I have just returned from my ServSafe re-certification, and BLAH. Man am I glad I only have to go through that once every five years. They yap at you from 9am until about 3pm on the "main points" from the manual/book. And then make you watch videos reiterating what they just went over.
