In which I went total fangirl for the evening...
I totally love how some evenings take an unexpected turn and ends up being so much fun. Last night was one of these occasions where I totally scored free tickets to the Old Vic to see Noel Coward's Design for Living, perv and fangirl some very fine men and met a brand new friend in the form of canadian_turtle.

I'm stuck in Malaysia because my flight home was cancelled. I guess looking at the bigger picture, I'm better off than most other people since I actually have somewhere to stay and have parents who will feed me while I sponge off them a little longer while I wait for a flight to become available. First post of the year...
If you have been following the news on the BBC website, it's suppose to be snowing like mad at the moment. So far, it seems that all my friends out of town are snowed in including my sister in Oxford. But for me in London, there is no snow. Not even a slither. Bugger.

I've been extremely naughty....
I've disappeared for almost three months and the first time of posting since then turns out to be a meme. Shameful. But for some reason, coming up to the move in early September, followed by an adjustment period in the new lab, followed by a stint in Turkey, I've somehow lost my juice and am in an "eugh" period at the moment. Of dodgy degrees and kiasu....
There is a lot of hot air being blown about at the Malaysian Education blog in regards to their latest post about dodgy degrees. There are some idiots on there who seem to think that it’s justified that someone should be allowed to buy a degree online because they cannot afford to go to Oxford or Cambridge.
