While this is all sound advice I do find all this self flagellation a bit nauseating sometimes.
It's not that I do not think hard work should not be rewarded. Far from it. However, I do think it's far too easy to use the blanket statement that those who are still burger flipping at 40 are doing so purely because they have not worked hard enough.
If people invested half as much time to finding ways to equalise an unjust world, as they currently spend trying to justify it's existence; we'd have the problem solved by now.
The trouble is that many just do not see it AS a problem. They are happy with the status quo as it benefits them greatly, and sod everyone else.
At the end of the day, there is always going to rich and poor. There is nothing "wrong" with this in principle. But when the richest of the rich have so much wealth it sickens the mind, at the same time as a large number of people having to decide between heating and eating then something is VERY wrong.
Damn, what's with furries and not having #3 apply to them? Are they being crackpots?
It's been ten years since high school, I took four semesters in a community college, I got decent grades, served in the Army and I'm still making less than $10 an hour. >_<;
