OH, this is so so SO GOOD. Exploding poisonous mushroom made them do it! Or: angry put-off alien teenage chick made them do it! HEE. I love this. And I love them. And Daniel and Teal'c being awesome about it all, YES.

:)

Heh, thank you! It started out as pretending to be married, but for some reason turned into AMTDI on the way. Both completely un-ironically, too. :D

I think Daniel and Teal'c wouldn't really care, so long as they don't get dragged into the relationship arguments. *g*

Delightful as always! (Although, I agree, this totally doubles as an AMTDI trope.)

I think my favourite aspect of it, though, is your Jack - just trying in his own fumbling way to put his heart out there, but never imagining he'll get the response he wants from Sam, and perfectly willing to live with whatever consequences she decides... And poor Sam - so shocked, needing to think, and just trying to fumble through with emotions and people.

But then they fumble together, and it's all good. :D

(Also, is one of your tropes 'It was Daniel's fault'? Because it always, always is.)

Thank you - yes, it checks at least two of the trope boxes - three, as I've got 'aphrodisiacs' separate to AMTDI. I had to firmly talk myself out of adding in 'accidental pregnancy', too. *g*

And, aw, thanks - I do love writing Jack. I was a little worried he was getting a bit too maudlin, but sometimes (and in canon, IMO) he's really surprisingly willing to make himself vulnerable in that way. And Sam's the one who needs to make sense of it before she leaps, of course. :)

(Heh. It's not on the trope list, but it's definitely one of my personal tropes. It IS always Daniel's fault!)

Heh. When I did go to look at your list, I noticed the aphrodisiac separately from AMTDI, and thought check. (I had wondered about the accidental pregnancy - mostly because, well, why stop with three, especially when missing a check mark!)

Yay for tropes!

Hee. But Janet isn't going to give him the satisfaction of saying that. *g*

Thank you!

And this ending isn't cruel? ;)
Funny how pretending to be married often leads to AMTDI. And I really like that they don't brush it off or deny it, along with Daniel and Teal'c's 'it's's about time' attitude about the whole thing. What's next on the cliche list?

Heh. I think I need to post the alternate ending - you can judge for yourself. *g*

Yeah, it's a common trope pairing, if you will - and one I love, so I kind of wanted to do it the traditional way, for once. :D

And, heh. Well, amnesia seemed popular...

WIN.

Guh. I can't even begin to enumerate the loveliness here. Hammond's pre-emptive strike. Daniel and Teal'c's attitude. Jack's internal processes. Sam's note-perfect Samness. The sheer hawtness.

I've been fretting over my inability to write porn. I think I'll just read your hot stuff as a master class.

Hee, thank you, so much!

And, aw! *blushes* I've been following some of the stuff people like surreallis have said on the subject, and a book called 'The Joy of Writing Sex', which I highly recommend. I wrote the sex scene in this after absorbing a few chapters of that book.
