Avoid Earthlink if you can
Last year when A and I moved into our place, we signed up for a year's worth of DSL from Earthlink. It was cheaper than Verizon or Speakeasy, as we had had Verizon at the old house and "used up" the introductory offer. When I ordered the service from Earthlink, I told them I had a modem, and I didn't need a new one, but they shipped one anyway. ( Read more... ) -

Book Recommendation?
I've been thinking about urban renewal and gentrification a lot lately, and I'd love some suggestions for books on the subject, possibly those with analysis of why Americans are moving back into the cities. Scholarly works would be great, or at least books with endnotes/footnotes. -

Feelings: elated!!
I asked all of my committee members to let me know if they don't think what I've done is enough for a defense. But all systems seems go. Now it's time to make my slides!
