You've mentioned before more than once that you belive Sookie won't live past another 10 years. Do you think she's aware of this? What about Eric? How do you think he'll deal with her death? Is that what Pam losing Miriam was showing us, how Eric will deal with it?

I think Sookie's aware of it, certainly. She's facing the prospect of aging all the time, about how her body isn't as good as it used to be. And considering how she was when Hod and Kelvin attacked her, she'd be very aware.

Eric too is aware of it, hence him being an arse as he was falling in love with Sookie - all of this because he knew she would be mortal. I think he's been holding out hope she'll turn, and has just recently had it dashed when she refused him.

I think in event of her death, he'll act exactly like Pam did with Miriam. Pam's relationship is supposed to show the reader what happens when your beloved human dies. I daresay that Eric will throw himself into his work to forget. He loves working.
