Excitement, excitement! So it's less than 12 hours until I get my copy of Dead Ever After. Soon after I post this post (and reply to a PM that's been languishing) I'm going to turn off my computer so that it will be well rested for the big finale, and so that I can make sure my house is clean so that I can just read with no guilt.  The knot of ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure people would pay to stay with you just to observe the carry on in your home:)
I'm off to finalise my preparations too! Even the ironing looks semi-inviting knowing I can then have some guilt-free indulgence time.
Ex-cit-ED! Ex-cit-ED! *bounces in chair like something not right*
See you on the other side!!!!!!

People almost had to pay to talk to me. Lol. There was a lot of smoking and coffee and ignoring the people who love me. Son2 pointed out that I should really pay attention to him because the book would live with me forever, while he would not. I informed him that I paid all attention to him the first day I brought him home and went on reading. :D

I cleaned my floors, I planned bacon sandwiches for dinner. My careful neglect was staged. :D

Hah, you`re not fooling anyone. You don`t want to have been born in New Zealand. You want to have been born in Germany - living next door to the book store that sold the book too early.

I just wonder what the Herr Pfefferminze Rose sayings would be like in German.

Oh man! I would have loved that. :D Although I wouldn't say no to being one of CH's kids, who get to read the books first. :D Plus, Mum has to engage in your long chats about her books. Or you whine at her.

Probably a lot blunter. :D

Yeah, you really planned your own birth poorly ;-)

In the future we have evil cat-overlords who keep us around only because we have the ability to open the pantry door. :D

Sadly I shall have to wait to go and buy the book until after school drop-off. That's if my cats let me out of the house.

Mr Minty couldn't live in my house, though. We have rules about colouring in other people with felt-tip. Usually re-iterated by me saying, yet again, "I don't care if your sister said she wanted you to do that, I said 'don't do it' and I'm in charge!"

And now in the future, Sookie-day is over and we have to go back to the drudgery of house cleaning and cat worship. Ho hum. It was nice while it lasted :D

The endless drudgery. That's why you get the audio book - so you can make even drudgery a Sookie activity! :D

The future sounds terrifying, with cat overlords and all.

Oh, you poor thing. If only I beat AoifeNZ, then I can be satisfied. I'm running mostly on little sleep and adrenaline at this stage.

Mr. Minty is a natural anarchist, and a long time member of the Socialist party. You'd have a good argument on your hands. Plus, he's a defiant little bugger. :D

FINALLY!!!! anonymous May 6 2013, 10:27:50 UTC
Well I'm glad that May 7 is almost here! Although I'm looking forward to reading this book for totally different reasons now. This crap of the last couple weeks has been dreadfull.... I love my internet and my random internet peeps that I interact with and trying to remain spoiler free has SUCKED! (Well except for you know...the big thing that EVERYONE knows by now!)

I want...no need to see how CH pulls this whole thing off and I sincerely hope she does it well....

I've taken the day off of work and will gladly send the children off to school. I'm making some peach tea and hopefully sitting in the sunshine to read until its done. Then I shall race back to my beloved internet and read all the spoilery stuff. Glad to here you will be back to discuss. (Sho muchh better than dishcussing that phrevious phost. :) )

Now off to the drudgery of one more day! Have a great one!

The wait was way too long. It feels so damn long in those last few days. It felt even longer when midnight was not seen as Australian, and therefore I had to frantically refresh until 3am to get my hot little hands on it. And spoiler free was almost impossible this time - too many people lost their damn minds.

I've returned from the reading - it's good. Don't believe the fangirls.

I happily neglected mine. They didn't want to know that I loved Sookie more than them, but that's the breaks. :D And yes! There must be more H's! Shookhie Shtachkhouhse! We can do it!

Happy reading! In case you're wondering, no, I'm not at all jealous that you'll probably be reading this book in less than three or four hours. Nope. Not me. *grits teeth and curses*
