Goku is white for two reasons
1) the people love to let down fans of Dragonball so why not do it with a blast :P
2)because they wanted to see how bad they could make the movie, including casting James Marsters(?) (spike from Buffy) as Piccolo, taking out Krillan and making Goku a high school student :P

besides the sad let down that Dragonball is going to suck, how goes everything for you? :)
