Perce, dearest, don't you think Sirius has been through enough for one year without having arcane laws thrown at him? The place was full of beheaded house elves, for Merlin's sake! I really think you ought to just let him put it behind him, once and for all..

I'm perfectly willing to let him put it behind him once he has fully realised the error of his ways. Though I daresay this notice should properly ensure that it does not happen again, don't you think?

(PS. These laws are not arcane. My references are perfectly up-to-date, I'm pleased to say.)

It is merely a statement of the fact, and being a representative for the Ministry of Magic, I do believe it is my business to ensure that people are made aware of proper laws and precautions.

After all, where would we be without fire and safety regulations?
