I have... had (g), then lent it to some dolt who broke up with me. He also has my watch.

I've been meaning to buy you another one, but have been on the lookout for a used copy - something tattered and underlined and written-in. It seems that's the way one ought to give a book like that.

I think you're right. however, in this case you're off the hook, because two years ago I bought a new copy to give someone for christmas and then never mailed it.

and btw - whoever this boy is who broke up w/ you and then made off w/ my still life with woodpecker and your watch - he's not just a dolt. he's a tool.
