What a bust of a day and it's only 2 o'clock.

As of yesterday, I have a head cold.  I went to the Officers' Spouses' Club's holiday "brunch" today (try lunch) underdressed (apparently "holiday" means wear a skirt...  It's still beautiful outside, but it's getting chilly.  My dogs insist on jumping on the bed and then burrowing under the covers next to me.  If it weren't for the dog hair, it'd be too cute to resist.  As it is, they make great foot warmers.

Today is a beautiful day. It's pleasantly chilly outside, I got to sleep in and wake up slowly, my dogs are behaving, and I have two hot blueberry muffins that are melting butter as I type. Plus, it's my day off, which makes any day better.

I took my dogs to the local dog run this afternoon after work.  There wasn't anyone there for awhile, but then the post-work crowd showed up  (I get home about an hour earlier than most people).  My dogs ought to be exhausted, but instead I'm tired and thirsty and they're still jumping around.  You'd think I ran in circles for almost two hours ( Read more... )

Just a quick note of update:  George is never again allowed to leave for more than 24 hours without doing a check up on my car.  Or at least doing the maintenance he promised to do.

What makes today great instead of good?  It's raining outside!  And the house smells like rain.  And a little like wet dogs.  :-D

I'm a little disconcerted that I sent an email out to a dozen of my best friends and I haven't gotten one reply back.  Granted, three of you I had already talked to and one of you was in the process of moving.  But the rest of you weird me out occassionally... or maybe that was only my own mental-ness.  Did I do something wrong?

New House Bill

Sometimes I think you have to fail a basic intelligence test to be in government.  Hope you weren't enjoying reduced gas prices.  Also, it looks as though the Dem movement is starting to swing against Clinton.  I guess they're waking up to her heinous nature after all.  Go figure.
