It's now been nearly three weeks since the accident, and I am happy to say I am almost back to 100%. It feels wonderful to be reclaiming my body. I'll admit I don't handle injury or illness very well. If I'm in pain or ill for more than a few days, I easily fall into despair, convinced that I will never be normal again. Last night I met up with Maureen and her mom in Tuscaloosa for a lovely dinner with good conversation. Her mom told me several times to be careful driving hom because it was raining. I was like, yeah yeah yeah, of course I'll be careful. I feel like I'm a pretty good, safe driver.

I have gone on somewhat of a candy binge since the BFF's wedding. Since the wedding was now three weeks ago, I'm expecting to have started seeing the results of the binge now or fairly soon, but so far I don't think I have gained any weight. I'm hoping that my trade of one running session per week for a Boot Camp session has shocked my system ( Read more... )

A few weeks ago I went to New Orleans with two military spouses I barely knew. The highlights:

So Gold's Gym, the gym closest to my company's office, and I ended on bad terms when I moved. They charged me a bunch of fees because they said I never canceled my membership when I had. Basically I ended up settling with the debt collector because I couldn't find my copy of the cancellation form (found it a couple months later when I was looking ( Read more... )

I'm only putting 12 books on my list this year because one of my goals is to read all of the book club books. I have to put crochet and knitting aside because those activities seem to inflame my carpal tunnel symptoms.
