talk about a long damn winter

There was going to be a picture here of me in the purple sweater I finished last week, except, uh, now I'm blocking it for a third time and therefore it's wet and pinned to the daybed in my living room. This, instead, is a picture of the rather silly sweater I finished a couple of weeks ago.

that sweater is almost too silly to live. do your boobs generally get cold when your tum does not? yes, it is too silly to be functional. therefore it must be art.

it snowed here today too wtf!!!

this looks cool, I was thinking of making something similar, except maybe something more like a shrug

ooh neat

my thought was something slightly dressier, like to wear over a sleeveless dress to a party or out to dinner. sorta like this one though I'd probably choose a less puffy yarn

but a casual one would be awesome at the office for when the AC cycles on

aha! i made one of these for dressier occasions, although i gave up on the lace pattern when i got to the decreases. i was totally going to wear it to sam and kat's wedding had it not been crazy hot that day.

yours looks way better than the pictures. it is indeed very silly, but i would totally wear one in public if it was made with a lighter weight yarn and maybe involved a button closure at the front. also, the thumb holes are a guilty pleasure that totally increases the appeal of this sweater by 1500%.

i am in total agreement re: thumb holes. i'm sorely tempted to add them to all future sweaters.

OMG CROP TOPS. Can I tell you what hilariously stupid pattern I constantly find myself wanting to knit? Fricking CLEAVES. I mean...could there be a worse idea for a heftily-chested young girl who likes to sling bags over her shoulders? AND YET.

I think you meant "totally cute" when you typed "silly."
